Riverland Community College invites the public to a Community Night at Riverland on Friday, Sept. 12, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Austin Campus East Building parking lot (enter on 8th Avenue NW, south entrance).
The evening begins with a Kids Carnival and BBQ from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., featuring fun games and activities for children, with tickets and food available for purchase. Following the carnival, families are encouraged to stay for a drive-in showing of a 2025 family fantasy adventure theatrical release at 7:45 p.m. Concessions will be available during the film, and admission is $25 per car.
Riverland students are invited to enjoy free up-front seating for the movie by bringing a blanket or lawn chair.
“This event is a great reminder of the importance of community in all we do at Riverland,” said Janelle Koepke, Dean of Institutional Advancement. “It’s a fun way to bring our college and our neighbors together, strengthening connections that make both Riverland and the communities we serve thrive. Funds raised from this event benefit the Riverland Student Success Initiative Fund which supports students through scholarships, emergency grants, academic innovations, and more.”
