Withdrawing from a Course
Course Withdrawals
- For full-term courses, students may withdraw starting after the 5th day of the semester and through the 60th day of the fall and spring semester.
- "Short-term" courses have an adjusted withdrawal schedule.
- Students may withdraw from a course online or in person.
- Withdrawn courses will appear on the transcript with a grade of W.
- The student is responsible for 100 percent of the tuition and fees for courses withdrawn from.
- Withdrawing from a course will not affect the student's GPA. However, it will affect their completion rate.
Withdrawal Instructions
- Log in to your eServices.
- Select Courses & Registration from the left side menu.
- Click View/Modify Schedule.
- Verify that you are viewing the correct term, then find the course you want to withdraw from.
- Click the small black circle with the white X on the left side of the class list.
- Enter your password when prompted.
- Click Withdraw.
- To withdraw from more than one class, repeat steps 3 through 7 for each class.

Faculty Requirement
Faculty are required to submit a grade of FW for students that do not officially withdraw from the course but have stopped attending prior to the end of the term. A grade of FW counts in credits attempted and earned, but not in the GPA.
