Nail Technician

What You’ll Learn

Core Curriculum

Through a blend of classroom instruction and clinical experience, students gain expertise in:

• Manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, and nail art
• Artificial nail enhancements, including acrylic and gel
• Nail anatomy, physiology, and common nail diseases and disorders
• Product chemistry and proper application techniques
• Minnesota statutes and rules for nail technology
• Infection control, safety, and sanitation in a salon setting

Hands-On Training

From mannequin hands to real clients, students begin with preclinical practice before moving on to client services in our supervised student salon. This hands-on approach builds confidence and real-world experience.

Client Communication & Consultation

Students learn how to conduct professional consultations, communicate effectively with clients, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining safety standards.

Salon Management Skills

Students are introduced to the business side of nail technology, including:

• Scheduling and managing client appointments
• Providing excellent customer service
