Riverland’s Automotive Service Technology Diploma gives students hands-on training for careers in automotive repair and maintenance. Students learn with modern vehicles, industry-standard equipment, and support from strong employer partners.

Hands-On Training with Industry Partners

Riverland partners with Dave Syverson Auto Center and Ford Automotive through the Ford Tech | ACE program. This partnership gives students access to Ford and Lincoln training, industry certifications, and hands-on experience with current vehicle technology, including electric vehicles.

Tools and Vehicles Provided

Students in the Automotive Service Technology program have access to tools and vehicles at no extra cost while they learn. As students move through the program, they can also build their own toolsets through discounted options offered by the Snap-on Student Excellence Program.

Riverland’s industry connections help students gain real-world experience and prepare for employment. Partners such as Dave Syverson’s, Sanco Thermo King, and Austin Ford support student learning and workforce preparation.

Riverland’s ASE Education Foundation Master Certified program meets top industry standards. Students may have the opportunity to earn certifications such as:

  • A6 Electrical/Electronics Certification

Automotive General Service Technician Diploma

  • 35 credits over two semesters
  • A shorter program for students who want to enter the workforce quickly
  • Focuses on core repair skills such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics
  • Emphasizes hands-on training with industry-standard equipment and tools

Automotive Service Technology Diploma

  • 69 credits over four semesters
  • A longer program with more advanced and in-depth training
  • Covers similar core skills while adding broader system knowledge
  • Includes opportunities for industry certifications such as EPA 609 and A6 Electrical/Electronics
  • Includes online components and expanded training across automotive systems
