$2,500 Scholarships Available for High-Skill, High-Demand Programs
Recent high school graduates and students returning to school from the workforce are encouraged to apply for Workforce Development Scholarships. Applicants must be enrolled in 9 or more credits at Riverland Community College and studying in a high demand program areas including healthcare, technology, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, or early childhood. The following is a list of programs available at Riverland in these high demand areas:
Application for Fall semester opens Feb. 1
Early Award Application Deadline is March 31.
Final Application Deadline is June 15.
To apply for the Workforce Development Scholarships, use the Riverland Foundation General Scholarship application. You will be notified via mail or email if you are a recipient of a Riverland Foundation or Workforce Development scholarship.
Scholarships are funded through an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature for students studying at Minnesota State Colleges. Additional Workforce Development Scholarships are sponsored by local businesses including Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Federated Insurance, Austin Utilities, Allina Hospital, Koda Living Community, Owatonna Foundation, Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services, Minnesota Freezer Warehouse, and Metal Services of Blooming Prairie.
