About the James Wegner Gallery

The James Wegner Gallery at Riverland Community College is located on the Austin campus and welcomes proposals for the 2026–2027 exhibition calendar.

• Walls: 25 ft wide × 31 ft deep × 10 ft tall
• Track lighting
• Front wall of glass windows with ledge
• Open hours: Monday–Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., select weekends

Proposal Types

We accept proposals from individual artists, groups, or curators. The selection committee may recommend pairing artists for a two-person exhibition with the artists’ consent.

Eligibility

This call is open to artists 18 and older, local or national, emerging or established. Artists with ties to Austin or the surrounding region are encouraged to apply. Artists of color are particularly encouraged to submit their work.

What to Submit

1. Exhibition Proposal — one page describing your concept, medium, installation needs, and preferred dates.
2. Work Samples — 10 to 20 images. You may include detail or installation views as appropriate.
   • JPEGs up to 3 MB per image
   • or a single PDF/PowerPoint with images
   • or a link to a website or digital media
3. Image List — titles, dates, media, dimensions, and brief descriptions.
