You're smart to invest in your future at Riverland. Our tuition and fees are about half of what they are at four-year public colleges in Minnesota & Iowa. We'll help you find a variety of financial aid and clearly explain the federal government loans and grant process.

TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid comes in three main forms:

Aid you don't repay (grants and scholarships)
Aid you must repay (loans)
Aid you earn (work study and military assistance)

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. Scholarship money is not required to be repaid.

Austin Assurance Scholarship
- For qualifying High School seniors of Austin
Freeborn County Community Promise Scholarship
- For qualifying Freeborn County High School seniors
Owatonna Opportunity Scholarship
- For qualifying Owatonna High School Seniors

WORKSTUDY

If you're willing to work for your financial aid, participating in a federal work study program could be a good fit for you.

DISBURSEMENTS & REFUNDS

Disbursements and refunds are payments made to a student whose funding received, including financial aid, exceeds institutional charges.

BANKMOBILE

Riverland has partnered with BankMobile to deposit your money or refund quickly and securely.
