Practical Nursing Evenining Testimonials

As a mother of three young children, choosing the right college for nursing program was very important for me. After searching and attending many nursing orientations, I decided to accept Riverland Community College nursing program for two reasons: Part time programs and its pace. Riverland part time evening nursing program fit my schedule as a mother. I can take classes while taking care of my family. Also, the program is divided into three semesters with fewer credit per semester. This allows me to focus and understand the content instead of taking more than twelve credit a semester.

I originally decided to go to Riverland PN because it was offered as an evening class. However, now that I have been in school for a bit, I can´t imagine going anywhere else. The instructors are fun, genuinely want everyone to succeed, and willing to teach topics that can be incredibly challenging. They also make class fun! This is a part-time program, it is a lot of work, but it is also very empowering as you can take charge of your own learning.

-MONIKA ANDERSON, PN STUDENT (EVE PROGRAM)

Being a single, working mom, Riverland’s evening PN program works so well for my schedule.  The hands-on aspect in the SIM lab has allowed me to apply my knowledge and practice my skills. I have a lot of support and encouragement from my instructors because they want to see me succeed!

-JAMIE WRIGHT, PN STUDENT (EVE PROGRAM)

"When I was looking at going back to school, I looked at several different colleges before choosing Riverland to pursue my nursing career. I was really nervous being older with a family and trying to go back to school. I heard many good things about the nursing instructors, and ultimately that's what made me want to come to Riverland. Not only have the nursing instructors been great, so have the other faculty. I truly appreciate the time and effort that they are putting into my education. Everyone wants me to succeed and they are always willing to help. "
