How to Apply to the LPN Nursing Program

To be eligible to apply for the LPN Program, students must first apply and gain admission to Riverland Community College. Admission to the College is a prerequisite for submitting a separate application to the LPN Program.

Fall 2026 - Full Time Day Program Application

Spring 2028 - Part-Time Evening Program Application

  • Before you can apply to the nursing program, you must first be admitted to Riverland.

Application Criteria

  • Applicants must complete the Health Science Reasoning Test (HSRT). This test must be taken in person at a Riverland Campus site only. Applicants must achieve a score of 70% or higher.
  • Applicants must be active on the CNA registry (any state is acceptable) before starting the nursing program. The documentation must be submitted with the application.
  • All applicants must have all program prerequisites completed at the time of application. This means that the courses below have to be completed with a grade of “C” or higher before students can apply to the program.

    • BIOL 1030 Human Biology

    • PSYC 1240 Developmental Psychology
