Nursing (LPN Track) Apply

How to Apply to the LPN Nursing Program

To apply to the LPN Program, you must first be admitted to Riverland Community College. Admission to the college is required before submitting a separate application to the LPN Nursing Program.

Important: Applying to Riverland and applying to the Nursing Program are two separate steps. You must complete both.

Fall 2026 – Full-Time Day Program

Applications open January 1, 2026.

Spring 2028 – Part-Time Evening Program

Application Status: CLOSED

Applications will open July 1, 2027

Application Criteria

  • Complete the Health Science Reasoning Test (HSRT). You must take this in person at a Riverland campus and score 70% or higher.
  • Be active on the CNA registry (any state) before starting the program. Documentation must be submitted with your application.
  • All prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or higher before applying:
    • ENGL 1101 Composition I
    • BIOL 1030 Human Biology
    • PSYC 1240 Developmental Psychology
