How to Apply to the LPN Nursing Program
To be eligible to apply for the LPN Program, students must first apply and gain admission to Riverland Community College. Admission to the College is a prerequisite for submitting a separate application to the LPN Program.
Spring 2026 - Part-Time Evening Program Application
Program Application Status: OPEN
- Apply between: July 1, 2025 – October 1, 2025
- Program begins: Spring Semester 2026
- Application for admission to the Nursing Program is a separate process in addition to being admitted to the College.
Day Program Application

Application Criteria
- Applicants must complete the Health Science Reasoning Test (HSRT-AD). This test must be taken in person at a Riverland Campus site only. Online version is not accepted. Applicants must achieve a score of 70 or higher.
- Applicants must be active on the CNA registry (any state is acceptable) before starting the nursing program. The documentation must be submitted with the application.
- All applicants must have all program prerequisites completed at the time of application. This means that the courses below have to be completed with a grade of “C” or higher before students can apply to the program.
