2.24 Maximum Credit Load

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this policy is to establish the maximum semester credit load for students.

APPLICABILITY:

The maximum number of credits that a student is allowed to take in any one semester is twenty-two (22) and eight (8) credits for summer sessions. Students wishing to take more than 22 credits and eight (8) credits for summer sessions must obtain approval from a Riverland advisor.

Procedure that students follow:

  1. Student obtains permission from Riverland advisor.
  2. Advanced Override is placed on student’s record.
  3. Student registers for courses.
