Monday - Friday
10 hours per week
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Assist TRIO students with course work and study skills. Explain course content in an understandable way. Give constructive feedback to improve students' understanding of course concepts.
Preference given to TRIO/First-gen student and math/science focused abilities. The TRIO Tutor should have experience tutoring and understanding the challenges faced by people from eligible status groups.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Strong communication and content skills are necessary. The TRIO Tutor should be able to explain concepts in different and understandable ways to increase students' comprehension and offer constructive feedback. The TRIO Tutor should be able to maintain a positive attitude about the students they work with to support a welcoming environment.
