This policy is meant to establish a procedure and provide the documents for a Riverland-included research study and the protection of human subjects in education-setting research. The establishment of an Institutional Review Board policy is required for some federal funding applications.
This policy will provide clear statement and guidance on protections for all Riverland employees and/or students during a proposed education-setting research project.
This policy will apply across the institution to anyone who chooses to conduct research using Riverland employees and/or students.
Research is the experimentation and/or measurement of effectiveness of teaching methodologies, student interventions, administrative structures, or other initiatives that are conducted in the education setting.
Research that will not be subject to this policy is the effectiveness of non-invasive research or secondary data effectiveness.
The procedure for this policy and all supported documents are attached.
All applicable documents and forms regarding this policy and procedure are attached.
