Accreditation Review Open Forums

Riverland Community College invites students, faculty, staff, community members, business leaders, and regional partners to take part in an important step in the college’s 2026 accreditation review.

Riverland is currently undergoing its comprehensive review through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the institutional accrediting body that evaluates colleges and universities. This process takes place every ten years and helps confirm that Riverland is fulfilling its mission, serving students well, and meeting high standards for quality and continuous improvement.

As part of this review, a team of peer reviewers will visit Riverland on Monday, April 13, 2026, and Tuesday, April 14, 2026. During their visit, they want to hear from a wide range of voices, including students, employees, and community stakeholders. Your perspective matters as Riverland reflects on its role in supporting student success, workforce needs, and regional vitality.
