A natural innovator, Scott has introduced modern teaching practices, from interactive “liquid syllabi” to tri?modal course design, which make learning more accessible and engaging for all students. His early adoption of online options for music theory opened doors for learners near and far, proving that high?quality music education can reach beyond the traditional classroom.

Scott’s classes champion equity and inclusion. He carefully chooses music, assignments, and discussions that reflect a wide range of cultures and identities.
