8-15 hrs per week Hours per week
* Monitor the computer labs and provide for the general cleanliness, safety and security of the laboratory areas. Report maintenance problems to MIS staff as they occur. * Enforces procedures for the use of the laboratory area and the use of equipment, supplies, materials, software, hardware and peripherals. * Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic problems with user accounts and computer equipment. Refers problems to MIS staff if unable to resolve. *Responds to questions from students, staff and instructors with information relating to the computer labs. *Cross-train in library services. Assisting students, faculty, and staff with searching for, locating, and checking out library materials (digital and physical) *Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
General knowledge of computer equipment and related software. Ability to provide assistance and problem solve basic computer related issues, enforce policies and procedures, and maintain a positive customer service environment. Expected to be on time for scheduled shifts. Courteous to students, faculty and staff. Communicate in person, via phone, and/or email when issues occur.
