Music Ensemble: Frequency
Riverland Music Ensemble: Frequency
Riverland’s music ensemble, Frequency, began in the mid-1960s as “The Briars.” Since then, the group has performed a wide range of popular music styles. From folk and Broadway to rock and even madrigals, Frequency continues to explore music across genres and generations.
Recent performances have included music by Imagine Dragons, Green Day, Prince, Paramore, Queen, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
A Student-Driven Experience
In recent years, Frequency has become more student-driven. Students help select music, lead rehearsals, and create their own arrangements and original pieces. With support from the instructor, students explore music in creative and meaningful ways.
The group has performed with Rogue Valley, appeared on KSMQ-TV specials such as An Austin Christmas and Holiday Harmonies, and participated in community events like Home for the Holidays.
