Nursing (RN Track) Dual Admission Program - Starting Fall 2019

How to Apply

Application Closed

Application will open January 1 and close March 2, 2020

Application for admission to the Nursing Program is a separate process in addition to being admitted to the College.

Application Criteria

  • Prerequisite courses have to be completed before applying to the nursing program and must have a combined GPA of 2.75 or higher (see the “Course List” tab above for a list of these courses).
  • ATI TEAS 6th Edition Exam with a score at or above 58.6%; required prior to online application deadline.
  • Must be active on the CNA registry (any state is acceptable).

HOW ARE APPLICATIONS SCORED?

The Nursing Program Applications are scored by adding the below items together:

  • Cumulative GPA of the pre-requisite courses listed below (must have a 2.75 or higher to apply to the nursing program):
    • General, Organic, and BioChemistry (Chem 1121)
    • Anatomy and Physiology 1 (BIOL 2021)
    • Anatomy and Physiology 2 (BIOL 2022)
    • Composition I (ENGL1101)
  • 6th Edition TEAS score (percentage divided by 10)

Your pre-requisite GPA is located on your pre-RN Degree Audit Report located in your Eservicses under the Academic Record tab.

So for example, if your average GPA for the pre-requisite courses  is 3.20 and you got a 82% on your TEAS Test; you first divide the 82% by 10 and then add your pre-requisite  GPA (8.20+3.20=11.40).

Your score for the Nursing Program application would be 11.40. The maximum possible points is 14.

The following list contains the average scores that have been accepted to the Nursing Program for the past 3 years:
