Riverland is excited to offer review sessions to help you prepare for the Nursing Assistant competency exam. You can register for a skills review, knowledge review, or both.

After completing your review course, faculty will assist you with registering for the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Competency Exam.

Nursing Assistant Review – Skills

This hands-on course helps you prepare for the Minnesota Nurse Aide Competency Exam by reviewing key skills needed for testing. Each skill is demonstrated according to state standards, and you will have time to practice.

This course is ideal if your certification has expired or if you want a refresher before testing.

Nursing Assistant Review – Knowledge

This course reviews important Nursing Assistant concepts such as duties, emergency care, safety, and pain management. Topics covered are aligned with what you may be tested on during the Minnesota Nurse Competency Exam.

This is a great option for those whose certification has expired or anyone wanting to refresh before testing.

Important: Completion of these review courses does not guarantee passing the state competency exam. These courses are not Minnesota-approved training programs and do not provide college credit.

Next Step: Riverland is an approved test site for the Minnesota State Registry Test. This exam meets state and federal OBRA requirements.
