Andrew Kaiser was hired as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Riverland
Community College in November. The Austin, MN native played for RCC back in 2011-2014. Coach Kaiser brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the game to the Blue Devils sideline. He’s eager to rebuild the women’s basketball program back up. He understands the importance of recruiting quality student-athletes to help him do so. In past years Riverland Women’s Basketball has had a rich tradition in guiding student-athletes proceeding to four year universities/colleges.
Coach Kaiser’s coaching career began in 2016-2017 with the Riverland Men’s Basketball program. He has held that position for the past three seasons. Kaiser has played a large role in helping guide the Blue Devils Men’s program to two of the most successful seasons in program history. RCC has gone a combined 41-17 (71%) during his time on the bench. Coach Kaiser’s responsibilities have included recruiting, scouting opponents, defensive strategy, and individual development – post players.
Kaiser is an Austin native who played for Coach Fadness’ Packers at the varsity level for two seasons. After his time at Austin High he made the decision to stay local and continue his collegiate career under the guidance of Scott Koenigs for RCC. After his two seasons for the Blue Devil’s he continued his education at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN. With local ties, Coach Kaiser looks to build RCC Women’s basketball into something that the community can be proud of once again.
