Web developers design and create websites. They are responsible for the look of the site. They are also responsible for the site’s technical aspects, such as its performance and capacity, which are measures of a website’s speed and how much traffic the site can handle. In addition, web developers may create content for the site

Web Developer is a degree program consisting of 23 core credits, 22 technical elective credits, and 15 general education credits that must be taken.

Riverland Community College’s 100% online website development degree will give students a well-rounded understanding of back-end and front-end development, and the skills needed to serve as a webmaster, maintaining the day-to-day operations of a website. Students will take courses like web page design, html and css, javascript and AJAX 3, social media campaigns, analytics and SEO, and introduction to PHP and MySQL 3.
