Why we are different from an RN to BSN program.
Community college students are admitted through one application to a Bachelor of Science in nursing program where licensure is not required for progression to attainment of the baccalaureate degree.
Upon entry into the MANE program at Riverland Community College, students will be dually admitted at Riverland Community College and Metropolitan State University. Completion of the program is successful when students meet the 5th and 8th semester benchmarks. Students will complete the first 5 semesters at Riverland Community College and will complete the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters through Metropolitan State University on the Riverland Community College campus.
At the completion of the 5th semester benchmark and attainment of the Associate in Science in nursing degree, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN and if successful, practice as a licensed Registered Nurse. Licensure is not required to register for semesters 6-8 of the MANE curriculum to attainment of the baccalaureate degree.
All additional information can be found on the MANE website.

Are there any special scholarships related to this program I can apply for?
To help meet the cost of nursing school, the College awarded me Financial Aid grants, and various scholarships such as The Bikers of Student Success, Elizabeth Moen Nursing Scholarship, and Stipend Scholarship. Through the program, I became a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and was named to the ALL-Minnesota Academic Team in 2016. This is great program and I’m thankful for all of the amazing faculty members that enriched my nursing school experience.
