Riverland’s Cosmetology Diploma helps you prepare for a career in the beauty industry. This program gives you hands-on training in hair, skin, and nail care while helping you build the skills needed for licensure and employment.

Cosmetology offers a career path with creativity, flexibility, and strong job demand. Students learn current techniques and prepare to work in a fast-moving field that continues to grow and change.

Get Licensed and Career Ready

Under the guidance of the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners, this program provides 1,550 hours of training in Riverland’s student salon. Students build practical skills in hair, skin, and nail services while also studying safety, chemistry, Minnesota statutes and rules, retailing, and workplace human relations.

This training prepares students to meet state requirements and work toward becoming licensed cosmetologists.

Flexible Student Schedule

Riverland’s schedule is designed to help students balance school, work, and family responsibilities. Most students can complete the program in about 15 months.

• Mondays to Wednesdays: 8 AM - 3:15 PM
• Thursdays: 12 PM - 7:15 PM
