International Education
Riverland’s International Education programs do two things: help you build college-level English, and help you understand how the world fits together. Both lead somewhere. Credits from these programs count toward an Associate of Arts degree and transfer to a four-year university.
ESLA students can earn up to 16 credits toward an A.A. degree, and at the advanced level you take three college courses alongside your English courses. The Global Studies Certificate pairs with an A.A. degree or adds to another program. The Global Studies Emphasis is the A.A. itself.
English language
Build the English you need for college and work: writing, grammar, reading, vocabulary, listening, and speaking. Small classes, a language lab, and free tutoring. Your course plan depends on your placement results.
Non-degree 15 to 27 credits AustinGlobal studies
One semester looking at how cultures, economies, and political systems shape each other. Pairs with an A.A. degree or strengthens another program you are already in.
Certificate 16 credits 1 semesterA full A.A. degree focused on global systems, cultures, and history. Transfers toward bachelor’s work in international relations, political science, or business, including an agreement with Winona State University.
