2 Shelby Quinn
Freshman Truman, MN Martin Luther
Shelby is the freshman setter for the 2015 Volleyball team. She is a Massage Therapy student here at Riverland from Truman, MN. Shelby has been involved in 4-H for 12 years, she shows dairy and dairy steers. Shelby loves to travel and has been to Brazil, Europe and Mexico. Shelby will be a very important part to this teams success!
3 Theresa Torkelson Freshman Adams, MN Southland, HS
Theresa is a sophomore majoring in Massage Therapy this year. Theresa will be a defensive specialist for the 2015 Volleyball team. She loves pasta and brings a great deal of joy to every room she enters! We are blessed to have Theresa again join our program this fall!
5 Hannah Boyer Freshman Janesville, MN JWP HS
Hannah is a Cosmetology major from Janesville, MN. Hannah has played volleyball since 3rd grade, and played varsity for 3 seasons! Last year Hannah broke her school record for blocks! Hannah will play Outside Hitter for this year’s team. We are enjoying the opportunity to have Hannah involved this season in spite of her busy academic schedule!
6 Emma Mergen Freshman Cassville, WI River Ridge, HS
Emma is a freshman Agriculture Science major from Cassville, WI. She is the libero for the 2015 Volleyball team who will also join the softball team in the Spring as an Outfielder. Emma was All-Conference honorable mention last season in volleyball and has been first team All-Conference in softball for two seasons. She also received the Best Defense and Hustle awards while in High School. We a grateful to have Emma be a part of this team. She really does work hard and hustle after the ball. She will be a large part of our defensive successes.
7 Mistary McClarnon Sophomore Braddyville, IA South Page HS
Mistary is a Business Management student from Braddyville, IA. She joins this season’s team as an all-around player. Initially Mistary will contribute in a defensive specialist role but has potential to find time on the front row as well. Mistary has a very charismatic personality and adds life to any environment, we are thankful to have her be a part of our program again!
8 Sarah Hubacher Freshman Lakeville, MN Lakeville HS
Sarah is a transfer student from Dakota County, she will attend classes towards her Criminal Justice decree this fall. Sarah was originally a Hockey player, but picked up the game of volleyball at Dakota County. Sarah will be our right side hitter this season. Sarah brings a lot of life to our practices, her experience and maturity will really help this team connect!
10 Hope Landsman Freshman Austin, MN Albert Lea HS
Hope is a Nursing major from Austin, MN. She attended Albert Lea High School where she was a leading Outside Hitter. She will also be an outside hitter for the 2015 team. Hope is a hard working player who looks for ways to improve daily. We are excited to have her be a part of this team!
12 Brooke Hondl Freshman Owatonna, MN Owatonna HS
Brooke is a freshman Radiology major from Owatonna, MN. Brooke will be a defensive specialist for the 2015 team. She is left- handed, likes watching movies and holds down 2 jobs! She is the youngest member of her family. We are excited to see how Brooke will step up and contribute this season. She has a great deal of potential and we look forward to working with her!
14 Kassi Hardies Freshman Albert Lea, MN Albert Lea HS
Kassi is a freshman Accounting major from Albert Lea, MN. Kassi was All Conference Honorable Mention in Volleyball, All Conference in Softball, Softball player of the year (AL Tribune Area), and All State Academic. Kassi is our Middle Hitter this season, she will also join the softball team in the spring as a first baseman. Kassi is a great player with lots of natural ability. We look forward to helping her continue to improve and find success at the college level.
15 Shayla Berkner Freshman Wanamingo, MN Kenyon-Wanamingo HS
Shayla is a Criminal Justice/ Corrections major from Wanamingo, MN. Shayla will be a middle hitter for the 2015 team this season. She is competitive and loves to WIN! She was an HVL All Conference player in 2015. Shayla will also join the Softball team in the Spring as a pitcher! Shayla is such a competitor, we are excited to have her be a part of this team. We look forward to seeing her develop leadership skills to help lead this team!
