How to Apply for Education Benefits

• Go to the GI Bill Website
• Select Education from the “Apply Online” menu
• Select "Start VONAPP" and begin the application process.
• Print the signature page, sign it, and return it to the Registrar at Riverland.

IF YOU ARE A NATIONAL GUARD MEMBER APPLYING TO USE THE GI BILL UNDER CHAPTER 1607 OR REAP, PLEASE INDICATE THAT AT THE TOP OF THE SIGNATURE PAGE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO MAIL IN. TO SPEED THE APPLICATION PROCESS, PLEASE INCLUDE A COPY OF YOUR DD-214.

• Complete the Admissions Check List. 
• Once you are registered for your courses, notify Kelly Downey so an enrollment certification can be submitted
• If you are a transfer student who has used the GI Bill at a previous school, you must submit a "Change of Program or Place of Program" form.   For assistance, contact the Registrar.
