Etudes of Significance 2006-2007

Conceived and Choreographed by Bryan Gerber

Former Riverland student Bryan Gerber brings his senior project to Riverland. Bryan will receive his BA in Dance from Minnesota State University - Mankato in December of 2006. "Etudes of Significance" is a work that attempts to find artistic intent behind technical virtuosity. Instead of trying to create meaning to portray to an audience, "Etudes of Significance? seeks to allow the audience to view the movement and based on each one's own perspectives, see the dance through their own individual experience, and create meaning for themselves. Bryan will be dancing, as well as choreographing, this performance with his company, Hoping for Aurora Dance. Hoping for Aurora Dance Company is a contemporary dance company that seeks to bring inspiration to others using dance as our "Paintings in the Sky."
