William Shakespeare
Viola and her twin brother Sebastian have been shipwrecked off the coast of Illyria and each believes the other to be drowned. Viola disguises herself as a boy and, under the name of Cesario, enters the service of the Duke Orsino. The Duke sends Cesario to woo the Lady Olivia on his behalf but Olivia falls in love with the attractive "boy." Sebastian is saved by the sea Captain Antonio and arrives in Illyria. This delightful comedy combines all of what we love about Shakespeare: a love-sick Duke Orsino; a romantic tale of separated twins, Viola and Sebastian; supposed death and reunion; clever mistaken identity; tricksters like Sir Toby Belch; the stubborn but lovable anti-hero Malvolio; and the ever present clown, Feste. A perfect valentine of love gone right, to warm the winter nights.
