NET (Nursing Entrance Test)
The NET (Nursing Entrance Test) is a nationally standardized exam that has been developed to assess a tester’s mastery of basic math and reading skills. A tester’s composite final score indicates his or her aptitude to succeed in a nursing program. A minimum composite score of 55, as well as a score of 55 in BOTH essential math skills and reading comprehension is, required to pass the NET. Persons with a qualified disability who require an alternative format should contact Sharon Stiehm at 507-433-0646 or 800-247-5039 at least three weeks prior to testing.
Registration
- Registration for the NET begins November 4 and is only available online. No registrations will be taken by phone.
- The cost of the NET is $30.00 and must be paid by the student at the time of registration. No refunds will be given.
- Students who intend to apply to the Fall 2010 Nursing Program must take the NET prior to March 1, 2010.
- Students may take the NET twice between November 2009 and January 8, 2010.
- After January 8, 2010 the NET test will be given only to students who have not yet tested.
- On the day of the test students must provide a picture ID and confirmation of registration and payment.
- After March 1, 2010 Riverland will no longer use the NET for admission to the Nursing Program. Students who plan to apply to the Fall 2011 Nursing Program should check periodically for updated information about Nursing Program admission criteria.

- Choose the Register Now button.
- Once on the ATI website choose the date that you would like to test.
- After your registration is concerned, print out registration and payment verification.

All tests will be given on the Austin Campus, West Building, room A 109. Testing dates for the NET test are:
