Taylar is a Pitcher from WEM and was our first official signed letter of intent for the 2015-2016 softball season! We look forward to having Taylar join our program next fall, we know she brings a great deal of experience and game knowledge to our program!
Jacquelyn is an outfielder from Austin High. We look forward to having Jackie stick around town and continue her academic and athletic career here at Riverland! We wish you and your team all the best as you finish up your regular season and gear up for tournament time!
Emma will join the Blue Devil program with experience in a variety of positions. Currently Emma is hitting .490 for her high school team with a fielding percentage of over 90%! We are looking forward to having Emma join our program during the upcoming school year! Emma will also be a member of the volleyball team!
Shayla recently signed her Letter of Intent to continue her softball career as a Blue Devil. Shayla is a pitcher from Kenyon Wanamingo. Shayla will be entering the Law Enforcement program here at Riverland this fall. Shayla is also considering playing on the Blue Devil Basketball team.
Keisha joined the list of recruits this month as an outfielder from Austin. Keisha is looking to study Radiology during her time at Riverland. We look forward to adding her experience in the outfield to our team this coming season!
Samantha LeMay signs letter of intent
Samantha LeMay signs her letter of intent to continue her softball playing career next year at University of Minnesota- Crookston on a softball scholarship. Sam has been a two year starter for the Blue Devils and will join the Crookston Golden Eagles next fall as an infielder.

Head Coach Michele Hoogers
Michele Hoogers is the head volleyball coach at Riverland Community College and has a wide range of experience in both volleyball and softball; she served as a player and coach in both sports. Hoogers came to Riverland from Sheldon, Iowa where she served as a head coach for both sports at different times during her 14 years there. She developed youth traveling teams in both sports and has worked with hundreds of kids through the years ranging from elementary ages all the way to the college level. Hoogers looks forward to taking on the new role as head softball coach here at Riverland. She knows it is a quality program with great leadership and hardworking athletes.
Pitching Coach Ron Bergstrom
Ron Bergstrom joins the Blue Devils as the assistant softball coach. Ron has had over 25 years of softball experience as a player and as a Coach. Ron has served as assistant coach at the Austin High School from 1989-1992 and head coach from 1993-1996. Ron is married to Mary and they have 1 son and 1 daughter.
