| This one-credit, American Heart Association (AHA) course allows health care providers to enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. | EMER 1440 Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, & Stabilization (PEARS) |
| PEARS prepares students to assess, categorize,decide and act early to stabilize the child. The main focus of PEARS is prevention, and specifically the assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric victims at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress. Guidelines established by the American Heart Association (AHA) will be utilized. The PEARS course is designed for healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill children. It is not intended for those credentialed for advanced pediatric skills that routinely provide pediatric care. Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive AHA Completion Card. Prerequisites: Instructor permission required or minimu of First Responder Certification, EMER 1200, EMER 1210 or equivalent of NURS 2010 and NURS 2020. $88.86 + $5 PEARS Certification fee. All students will need to purchase a book. THIS IS A HALF CREDIT COURSE. |

| EMT Refresher Course |
| EMT-Basic refresher courses are 24-hour classes designed for EMTs who provide urgent care at an emergency site or in an ambulance during hospital transport. Students enrolled in this class will receive updated training on all necessary emergency medical care skills needed to fulfill duties as a basic-level EMT with an ambulance service or other specialized medical service. EMT-Basic refresher courses cover topics such as trauma management, emergency childbirth delivery, oxygen administration, triage and cardiac arrest treatment. | Trained Medication Aide |
| This 48 hour course is designed to train unlicensed personnel to administer medications in a variety of health care settings. It includes the study of legal requirements concerning drugs and drug administration. General information about medications, terminology related to medication administration and use of reference sources will be studied. Students will learn actions, usual dose, toxic symptoms and special considerations of a variety of drugs. The course is designed to meet the curriculum standards established by the MN Board of Nursing for the training required to become a Trained Medication Aide (TMA). You can choose either location for training. Classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays of the listed dates.

| Forklift/Truck Operator Training |
| This course is designed to provide you with the technical skills needed to safely operate forklift equipment and utilize safe driving procedures. OSHA's 1910.178 states that employees must be trained prior to operating powered industrial trucks. Successful completion of this training will give you the operator's license and the driving skills to be a forklift operator. Topics covered: forklift design principles, safe forklift driving techniques, OSHA operating requirements, forlift load capacities, standard operating procedures for forklift operation in forward and reverse, forklift operations, forklift inspection and obstacle course training. | This class is a 30-hour RCC course providing an intro to the operation of boilers. Major topics include boiler functions, operations, safety, controls, hot water systems, ssteam systems, and the identification of boiler fittings. The primary focus of the class will be to prepare each student to pass the Minnesota Special Engineer's license exam. MN Statue 183.501 states that to operate any boiler the operator must receive a license of grade covering that boiler. Cost: $290 plus $130 for materials.
