Points to Remember
- Tuition, textbooks, and fees are covered by the PSEO program, including laptops required for programs participating in the Laptop Advantage program. You are financially responsible for supplies, tools, clothing, and any consumable supplies, etc.
- Riverland Community College requires that juniors must rank in the upper one-third of their class or score at or above the 70th percentile on a nationally standardized, norm- referenced test; seniors must rank in the upper one-half of their class or score at or above the 50th percentile on a nationally standardized, norm-referenced test.
- If a student's application is denied for not meeting the above criteria, they may appeal to the college to prove their readiness and ability to perform college-level work. Denied students will be sent an appeal form by mail.
- All accepted PSEO students will be allowed to register for college course work only with college level Accuplacer/CPT scores and with the permission of a College Counselor. After being accepted, students with below college level Accuplacer scores may not be allowed to register for any college courses.
- Only college-level courses are eligible for the PSEO program. College courses starting with a "0" are College Prep courses and are not eligible for PSEO.
Satisfactory Progress - Students are expected to perform at a satisfactory level if they are to continue to be enrolled in the College. A student is expected to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and complete at least 67 percent of registered credits. PSEO students will be suspended after any semester in which they did not meet the specific academic progress standard. Refer to Student handbook for the complete policy.
