"We provide internships/clinical experiences for students and many times they stay with the organization. This really helps to cut down on our recruiting costs. We hire 25 to 30 Riverland graduates each year. Additional training for own staff is also convenient because it is available right here in town.

From a business standpoint, just employing the staff Riverland does, they impact the economy. But, when they (staff) contribute their expertise to community projects (i.e. serving on boards) it is a huge resource for the community. I don't know how you measure that, but it has a huge impact."
