Riverland’s ESL courses are is designed for all foreign speakers who want to improve their English speaking skills or learn English. This nationally-recognized program is the only Intensive English Program in SE Minnesota and has taught students from around the world. All Riverland instructors are licensed with English as a Second Language master’s degrees. You can look forward to a friendly, welcoming classroom atmosphere at various skill levels with flexible scheduling for either full-time or part-time options. Students are encouraged to develop English skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, computer basics and U.S. culture.

Some unique qualities of this program are: intensive English study, field trips, small classes and individual advising.

Students from around the world have participated in this exceptional Riverland program. Countries include: Algeria, Argentina, Bosnia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Gambia, Germany, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Somalia, Spain, Sudan, Thailand, Togo, Ukraine, Vietnam and Venezuela.
