Would you like to help a medical facility operate smoothly?

The Riverland Medical Secretary diploma program combines interest in the medical field with clerical skills. This program is designed to prepare students for responsibilities such as providing administrative support to keep health organizations running smoothly.

You will learn medical terminology in order to transcribe digital dictation, prepare correspondence, maintain medical records and charts, assist physicians and/or medical scientists with reports, speeches and articles. You will also receive training related to hospital, clinical and laboratory data reporting. Your duties will include tasks that make the day-to-day operations of a medical facility and its team run smoothly.

This “Laptop Advantage” program provides hands-on training with computer equipment and software you are likely to use in the workplace. Medical secretaries must sustain a consistent level of interest and dedication because their work directly relates to their client’s well-being.
