Are you ready to move beyond the traditional secretary role?
Graduates of the Riverland Information Processing Secretary program are well prepared to use sophisticated computer applications typical of today’s offices. Your training will focus on basic business skills such as keyboarding, communications, machine transcription, and office procedures along with developing your computer skills.
Secretary duties may involve handling mail, telephone calls, faxes, keyboard correspondence, reports, posting information to records, and working with various forms. Other duties are likely to include using a variety of software applications, filing and retrieving records, and communicating via electronic mail and calendars.
Our instructors have extensive workplace experience and stay on top of all office technology. You can look forward to plenty of concentrated, one-on-one attention to help prepare you for the new responsibilities generated by today’s electronic office environment.
