How To Use Films On Demand Database

Access to the Database -- Off Campus 
When accessing FOD from off campus, an Riverland ID card (student ID) is required to enter the database through the proxy server.  After the database has been opened, patrons may use a personal user account.  

Searching
Videos and/or video segments can be found by browsing or searching.  Learn more.  There is also a tutorial with search instructions. New videos are added monthly.

Creating a User Account
All Riverland library patrons can create personal user accounts by using an email address and password. A personal user account does not allow access to the database from off campus, proxy access is required.  The user account is required to can create a playlist or favorites.

This tab allows users to create a personal folders for quick access to videos.  Learn more.

My Preferences
Preferences can be set for your user account. 

Collection Changes
Each month new films titles are added to the collection.  To get a list of the additions, contact the library.  Twice a year in June and December, discontinued titles are removed.  Contact the library if with questions about these titles.

Technical Requirements
FOD has some technical requirements and cannot be successfully used through a dial-up connection.  Learn more.

Troubleshooting

• be sure to watch the tutorials....they answer lots of questions
• currently, durable/persistent URLs only link to a film, not the segments
