Course Reserve for Print/Audio Visual Materials
Materials can be placed on reserve in the Austin library by the faculty. Forms to place items on reserve are also available in the library. Materials to be placed on reserve require a 24 hour processing period.  Learn more.

Directing Students to Electronic Documents, Films or Images
It is possible to use persistent/durable links to direct students to online resources, films or ebooks.

Library Cards
Faculty are required to have a Riverland ID to check out materials or use our resources off campus. Staff members should get a free photo ID in the student service centers on each campus.

Requests to Purchase Materials
Faculty and staff are encouraged to select materials for the library which directly support their instructional needs. Please forward email requests to the Library.

Interlibrary Loan Service
ILL is a service for Riverland students, faculty, and staff that allows our patrons to request books and other materials from other libraries in Minnesota.   Learn more.

Course Quickstart Requests
Help us build a Course Quickstart and/or Research Quickstart page in your subject area. Send email to the library or print and send us this form.

Samples of Bibliographic Styles
Short versions of two styles based on the latest editions of APA and MLA bibliographic styles.  An APA version
was also created especially for nursing students.  Each library database and our online catalog also has a citation generator.

Professional Journals Databases
Gale Educator's Reference Center Complete: Journals and reports for professional educators. Compliments ERIC by offering full text of many of the journals found in the ERIC database.

Gale Professional Collection: Database of  journals covering all types of professions.

ERIC: Education Resource Information Center, contains more than 1,300,000 records and links to more than 317,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

Library Information Science & Technology Abstracts: An index to books and journals designed for librarians.  Coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more.
