Using Camio

Camio is an image database of works of art from national and international museums.  A high speed internet connection is recommended to access from remote locations. Riverland students will need a library card to access Camio from off campus locations.  Off campus user are required to authenticate through our proxy server. 

Camio is similar to Artsrot but has few collections from museums and art galleries.   Camio has eight collections that are not included in the Artstor collection, one of the collection included in this database is the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.  The Walker collection is not included in the Artstor collection.

Tips for using Camio

• personal accounts are not available
• image toolbar must be used to print/email/save
• collecton of images can be saved by using favorites to create a URL
• unless saved as a web page, images placed in favorites are session specific
