International Students

Foreign Transcript

Applicants may want to submit official (original) academic records from all secondary, post-secondary or tertiary institutions attended.  All college/university transcripts should be sent from all attended colleges or universities directly to Riverland Community College Attention:  International Student Advisor (copies of originals will not be accepted).  Detailed official records of courses taken, marks received and examinations passed must be sent directly to Riverland Community College from the examination council or educational authority.

If your documents are not in English, all records must be translated into English with a copy of the original document that is in the native language.  Translations must be certified by a school or public official as a true copy and translation of the original document.

If your college transcript is from outside the U.S., you must also submit it to an evaluation agency for a course-by-course evaluation to be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.  If the transcript is not in English, it must be translated into English by the evaluation agency or you must provide a certified, literal translation.  We recommend the following agencies for evaluation and translation of non-U.S. transcripts:

            World Education Services, Inc. (WES)
            www.wes.org  (212) 966-6311

            Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE)
            www.ece.org   (414) 289-3400

Although we recommend these agencies, any NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) member may also provide translation and evaluation services.  www.naces.org/members.htm

Official translations and/or evaluations must be sent directly to Riverland Community College from the agency.  Copies of translations and/or evaluations will not be accepted.
