Scholarship Success Stories
The Riverland Community College Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization which raises, manages and distributes resources to support, enhance and promote the educational opportunities Riverland Community College offers the people of our region.
During the 2010 - 2011 academic year, 294 scholarships were awarded to Riverland Community College students. The Foundation is also engaged in supporting various theatre & music groups, alumni relations, and athletic boosters to enrich the arts and programs of Riverland Community College and the community.
Now more than ever Riverland Community College needs your assistance. Reductions of state support impact the cost of education for students and the quality of our educational programs and services.
We need your help! Please help provide financial support so we can serve even more students and Riverland programs.
Your support does make a difference!
Thank you in advance for helping the Riverland Community College Foundation…CHANGE LIVES, CREATE DREAMS, AND BUILD HOPE!
Thank you messages from Scholarship Recipients
Kyle Williams - Recipient of the Doherty Endowed Scholarship (Spring 2012)
I was thrilled to learn of my selection as a Doherty Endowed Scholarship Recipient and deeply appreciate the support. The financial assistance provided through this scholarship greatly helps in working to achieve my goal of graduating from the Industrial Maintenance Mechanics program at Riverland. I feel honored to be chosen as a recipient. Thank you for believing in me and my abilities for success. Thanks,
Amy Ferber - Recipient of the PEO Chapter CU Scholarship (Fall 2011 & Spring 2012)
My Name is Amy Ferber and I am a Second-year student in the Nursing Program at Riverland Community College. I work part-time as an LPN in a nursing home. My husband is a 5th grade teacher and coach, and we have four sons. I was a day-care provider until four years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have always wanted to be a nurse, so I enrolled in classes after all my treatments were complete. I will earn my associate degree in May and will be eligible to take the boards to be an RN.
I have received scholarships from the Riverland Community College Foundation the past three years that really helped me with the funds I needed to go to school. Donors like you make a difference to so many students to help them achieve their dreams. I am very grateful for the opportunity your generosity has provided me. People like you make it possible for students like me to afford a quality education during these difficult economic times! Thanks again!

I received a scholarship from the Riverland Community College Foundation this Year that has helped me with funds I needed to attend this wonderful school. Donors like you make a difference to students and help them achieve their dreams. I am grateful for the opportunity your generosity has granted me. Thank you.
