Getting Started with Distance Learning

 College Username and Password

You will need to access your username and password information. This information is utilized for accessing the College's computer network, Desire2Learn (D2L), and NetMail.

Access College Username & Password via two methods

  • All letters in your username and password are lowercase.
  • Usernames are all letters (users with common names may have a number at the end of the username eg wesmith1).
  • Passwords contain letters (a - z) and numbers (0 - 9). Sample username - mmmouse for Mickey M. Mouse. Sample password - t6y2o0 (last two digits = a letter and number) and 9p3il1 (last three digits = two letters and a number)

College Username & Password NOT THE SAME as your Academic Record

Your College username and password is not the same information that you use to access your Academic Record (register for classes, view grades, financial aid information, view billing statement, or print unofficial transcripts) via the College's web site. In this situation, your username is your student/tech identification number (eight-digit unique identifier) and your password/PIN. If this is the first time using the College's web site, your password/PIN will be your birthdate in YYMMDD format. For example, if your date of birth is January 15, 1970, then your password/PIN is 700115. If you have previously accessed your Academic Record and changed your password, it will be what you set. Student Services can reset your password/PIN if necessary.
