The Riverland Community College human resources department received the Human Resources All-Star Team Award on October 10 at the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Human Resources State Conference in Marshall, Minn.
The award was in honor of their successful partnership and collaboration with Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical, Rochester Community and Technical College, and South Central College in the development of the first Regional Staff Development Day in April 2006.
The Human Resources All-Star Award is given to an individual or team who has:
1) provided significant improvement in quality or process through creativity or innovation in HR principles;
2) promoted cooperation within or beyond the borders of an individual or institution to resolve a problem or improve a process;
3) demonstrated consistent outstanding service on an individual or team basis; performed a wide spectrum HR functions in a manner which consistently exceeds the expectations for acceptable HR practice.
The Riverland human resources department staff includes Celeste Ruble, director of employee and public relations; Cindy Brimacomb-Whiteaker, human resources specialist; Kim Byam, human resources assistant; Brenda O'Connor, administrative assistant to the vice president of employee and public relations. |
