Riverland Community College has received a $2,000 Target Local Store Grant for the Arts to help fund diversity/arts events at Riverland that will be open to students, employees and the general public. The grant will be used to bring a Mixed Blood Theatre Company presentation to campus and to assist the music department and global education committee in bringing an Asian musical group to campus.
The grant is part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities throughout the country. Since opening its doors, Target has given five percent of its income to organizations that support education, the arts and safe families and communities. Today that translates to $3 million every week.
