National Radiologic Technology Weeký
is celebrated annually to recognize the
vital work of radiologic technologists across the nation. The
celebration takes place each November to commemorate the anniversary of the
x-ray's discovery by Wilhelm Conrad
Roentgen on Nov. 8, 1895.
The Riverland Radiography Program will be
celebrating during the week of Nov. 8-14. Stop by the radiography lab in
the West building, room B105 on Thursday, Nov. 12th for an Open House from 11:00
until 1:00. Refreshments will be served and find out more information about our
program and profession.

The RCC Radiography
Program is collecting pink Yoplait yogurt lids. For each lid
collected before December 31, 2009, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to the Susan G.
Komen for the Cure program. So pass on your passion to find a
cure!
In Albert Lea, lids are being collected in the cafeteria bulletin
board.
In Austin East, this Yoplait is being sold and the lids are being
collected by the cafeteria.
In Austin West, the lids are being
collected outside of the Radiography
classroom.

Is your car ready for the upcoming winter?
If not, then you
won't want to miss this Lecture and Lunch
event!
Riverland Community College Automotive Industrial Maintenance Technology
Instructor Jason Merritt will present on how to make your car ready for the
impending winter. He and his students will also show you how to winterize your
own car!
Tires, antifreeze, heaters, wipers, gas selection, leaky hose - things
that can be checked easily to make sure your car is in good condition will be
demonstrated.
Roadside emergency kits will also be given
out.

A light lunch will also be served.ý This is all sponsored

The AA degree is designed
