Riverland Training and Development (RTD) representative Ken Quinn will serve as Riverland's safety officer in addition to his role as RTD’s health and safety coordinator. As safety officer, Quinn will be responsible for safety compliance, training, inspections, reporting and overall safety program management and serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff.
As RTD’s health and safety coordinator, Quinn’s main focus is medical and industrial safety training. He has extensive training experience involving workers compensation, employee right-to-know, Awair, bloodborne pathogens, ergonomics, OSHA compliance, and CPR/first aid.
Quinn is a licensed paramedic and has worked with the Albert Lea Medical Center and the Gold Cross ambulance service. He teaches part-time for the Emergency Services State Regulatory Board where he provides education in basic life support to local volunteer fire departments. Quinn is also a Certified Audiometric technician and a Certified Asbestos Site Supervisor. |
