Sherry Chesak, Danyel Helgeson, Cindy Olson, and Stacey Rosenberg of the Riverland nursing department have received a $25,000 “Designed for Learning” grant from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). The grant will fund "Advancing Nursing Education Through the Use of Technology and Active Learning," which involves redesigning the nursing coursework with technology as an emphasis.
A team of reviewers comprised of university and college faculty members and Office of the Chancellor staff members thought that "this is the right idea that may make a difference in student learning." CTL officials commended the broad scope of the project and are interested in seeing the learning outcomes that arise from the total project.
Riverland’s nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing and approved by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing. |
