Dr. Ron Langrell, vice president of academic and student affairs was elected to the Development Corporation (DCA) of Austin Board of Directors at the April 4 annual meeting.  The DCA is a private, non-profit economic development organization committed to "aggressively support new and existing industrial enterprises for the economic betterment of Austin and Greater Mower County."

As a board member, Langrell represents Riverland Community College and brings the college’s commitment to workforce development, a pillar to any successful economic development strategy.

Ron Langrell has a tremendous breadth of experience in academic leadership, institutional effectiveness, planning and budgeting, new program development, and resource development. Prior to Riverland, Langrell worked as vice president of instruction - chief workforce development officer at Walla Walla Community College.
