A new program at Riverland will be funded under a grant approved through Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. The "Be Your Best" initiative targets under-represented and under-prepared bi-cultural/bilingual students and offers support in their pursuit of a college education. It will begin in summer 2007.

Outcomes for participants will include: increased knowledge about options for higher education; increased knowledge about costs of college attendance and payment options including financial aid; increased knowledge about resources for college students including tutoring and counseling services, developmental classes and English Language Learning resources; and individual advising for appropriate college course work.
