| Riverland receives state awards for excellence in financial and facilities management |

Riverland Community College received awards in three categories from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities recognizing leadership and team effort for excellence in financial and facilities management. The award winners were selected from nominations made by presidents and college and university leadership.
For the ninth consecutive year, the College received the Excellence in Financial Management award that is given for significant contributions to increased efficiency and effectiveness of finances and administrative services throughout the institution.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year Riverland has received the Excellence in Facilities Management award that is given for successful and timely completion of capital improvement and repair projects, increased efficiency and effectiveness of space use throughout the institution and customer service excellence to students, staff and faculty.
Riverland Business Manager Brad Doss received Outstanding Service award. This award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions toward furthering professionalism in financial management.
"These award winners have clearly demonstrated some of the terrific work done at colleges and universities across Minnesota. Their excellent leadership has improved services to students and staff at a time of increasing financial pressures," said Laura M. King, vice chancellor and chief financial officer for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. |
