Concurrent Enrollment Program

Riverland's concurrent enrollment programs are offering hundreds of South Eastern MN students access to rigorous college courses in their high schools. Recent national research shows that high school students who participate in an accelerated learning option such as concurrent enrollment, benefit greatly from:

• Exposure to high expectations;
• Participation in challenging courses;
• The momentum gained by earning college credits while still in high school.

RivCep, or the Riverland Concurrent Enrollment Partnership, is a professional network of concurrent enrollment providers focused on promoting access to high quality, sustainable concurrent enrollment programs.

Concurrent enrollment program courses are postsecondary courses taught by high school teachers in the high school during the regular school day to high school students; students earn both high school and college credit.
